Hi I'm Taylor

I'm Canadian. I love ping pong. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to play all kinds of sports. I love any sport that has a racquet, including ping pong. I love college basketball, mens volleyball (especially the Libero position) and I like to read books that help me see things in a different way. Because of my passion for books, I am going to school to become an English teacher. I also love to hike, fish, and swim in freezing cold glacier lakes. I am Canadian and proud of it!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because of the feelings I have as I live the things that I know to be true. I have had many experiences when the Book of Mormon has touched me and I knew that Heavenly Father was speaking to me through that book. I know that my relationships with family and friends are better as I read the Book of Mormon. My Brother challenged me to read the Book of Mormon every day when I was 10 years old and I have never had a problem forgetting to study the scriptures since. I owe my testimony to his challenge. My testimony is something that is very sacred to me. I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is true, that Joseph Smith is a prophet of God, and that Thomas S. Monson is a Prophet today. I know that families can be made eternal in Temples of God. I know that anyone who sincerely prays to Heavenly Father to know if the Book of Mormon is true will know by the power of the Holy Ghost.

How I live my faith

Life gets pretty hectic being a college student and husband, but I try to be open for opportunities to help others, whether that's babysitting for a family, inviting people over for a meal, or just taking the time to chat. I'm not perfect at this, but it gives me a lot of meaning and perspective when Heavenly Father gives me these opportunities. Another opportunity I have to live my faith is to visit families in the congregation once a month and share a message with them. I love teaching and as I train to become a teacher I don't think a teacher can ever realize how much his or her influence can effect others.I look forward to working with my children to help them see how helping those in need can the lives of those you serve as well a your own.

To what do you attribute the growth of the Church?

Taylor
I attribute the growth of the Church to the example of the members in it. Because of the teachings of our church, the way we live is very different from the rest of the world. The world is in very bad shape these days. People are looking for a foundation that they can build their families around. Anyone who lives the teachings of the Church will know that this foundation is one that will not fail. See John 7:17. Show more Show less
