Hi I'm Josh

I didn't find the gospel, nor the truth. It found me.

About Me

I love the gospel. I've spent some of my life without it and know it's value and importance. My testimony of the gospel and the LDS church is very strong and is my everyday strength. I've recently moved to TX, and the church here is much different than Salt Lake. Our ward is our family and we all depend on each other. I have definitely been given the opportunity to work as a missionary here. So many good people here that have not yet received the gospel.

Why I am a Mormon

The LDS church has all the missing pieces to the puzzle, that other churches just haven't found yet. The book of mormon helps everyone in the present day to better understand the past, present and future of our world. I have witnessed many miracles first hand from this church on many occasions. Which shows that it truly is the only church of Christ. It is HIS church, just as it was when he was here on earth. And to clarify any rumors that are said by those who do not know our church - no we do not have more than 1 wife. We do not worship Joseph Smith. We are not a brain washed cult. The differences are that we have a better knowledge and understanding about life and why we're here. We worship both our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ and are very family oriented. We also believe in treating our fellow man as Christ would.

How I live my faith

I live my life in a very discrete comfort zone. Over the years I have learned to live obedient and modest which is very important for my kids. When little things occur that are bad or un-christ-like, I can immediately feel the spirit leave my presence, thus I am pulled away from my comfort zone. I love living my life in a way that the spirit will always feel comfortable in my presence, and love me for who I am.

What do Mormons believe about Jesus Christ? Do Mormons believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God?

Josh
Jesus Christ is our savior and redeemer. Before Heavenly Father sent us to earth, and even created earth, we all resided in heaven with our heavenly father. Jesus Christ is essentially our big brother. He and our Heavenly Father created earth, and gave us bodies. Even though Jesus Christ was born and raised as a normal man, he is a god as well. He was not conceived by a man and woman like all of us. Much like the story of Hercules, he walked the earth as our Heavenly Fathers actual son. Jesus came to earth to receive his body like all the rest of us. But he also came to bring us all back to heaven by creating his church and showing us the way home. And lets not forget, that he also came to die for us which is the most essential part to the plan of salvation and the gift of eternal life. Show more Show less

What is the Book of Mormon?

Josh
The book of Mormon is much like the old testament and new testament. It is another testament that was lost for many years. It is filled with scripture stories that tell about the prophecy of the birth of Christ. It explains how people came across the sea to America. This is where the Mayans, Aztecs and Native Americans originated from. The same people who were here long before Columbus came. These people are descendants from Jerusalem. Show more Show less
