Hi I'm Estef

I am mexican. I am a convert. I recently returned from serving a mission. I am a TV Host and Producer.

About Me

I am originally from Mexico City. I grew up there until I was 16 years old. I love Mexico, my childhood was amazing and I could not think of a better place to be have grown up in. I moved to the United States,to study graduated from High School there and majored in Broadcast Journalism with a minor in French. When I sent in my mission papers I thought I would go to Europe so I could use my French, but I got called to serve in the SLC South Mission. I love this mission it is amazing, and although I did not go foreing, I have been blessed to have the opportunity to teach in Spanish, English and French!! I currently finished working for a TV Station in Utah and I am hoping to transition to a bigger market so I could share the Gospel and hopefully be a light in the lives of others.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up as an active Catholic up until I was 16 years old. Back in Mexico City I attended private schools with Nuns, and at an early age I had a strong believe in God and his Son Jesus Christ. I moved to California to attend school and I started going to Church with my oldest siter who was a recent convert. At that time I did not speak English, and although I went to an English Ward, I felt so welcome. The ward was there to help me in anything I needed, the youth always invited me to activities, then seminary, then to listen to the missionaries. I did not want to listen to the missionaries because I knew I was fine where I was, I knew God and his son, I knew the Bible, however, I did not know why I needed to be Baptized again. I had different sets of missionaries that came and thought me, it was not until I came to understand the Apostasy and the Restoration of the Church that I knew I needed to be Baptized. I read and prayed to know if the Church was true, however, the confirmation that the Church was true was as I entered the waters of Baptism, at that point I knew and felt I was entering Heavenly Fathers Kingdom. I am on a mission today, trying to help other people like me who already had faith, and just need help finding the truth.

How I live my faith

I am a broadcast Journalism major, I always do all I can to show what I stand for through my work. Me serving a mission is how I show my faith at this point in my life. Being a good example and constantly testifying of the truthfulness of the Gospel is how I live my faith.
