Hi I'm Larry

I'm a retired truck driver, I operate a local charity, I love dogs, and I'm a mormon

About Me

I have had an interesting life. I have always been interested in businesses. When I was 15, me and my friends started our own tree removal business. I had a sandwich shop, an ice-cream parlor, I've had my own service station, a German restaurant, an Amish furniture store, and two trucking companies. When I wasn't running one of my businesses, I was driving truck on and off for over 40 years.

Why I am a Mormon

I joined the church 35 years ago. I was working for a Mormon rancher in Wyoming. I thought they were great people. They had great values and morals. Family was a major thing in their life. I admired those things so I joined the Church. Later on, I moved away and I lost contact with them and the Church. It wasn't until later in my life that 2 young missionaries came to my door. And this time, when I returned to this Church, it was more because I took the time to learn completely about what they believed and practiced. I learned about the Book of Mormon and Joseph Smith. I learned why his story is important to me and the world. I studied the Book of Mormon, and I took Moroni's challenge at the end of the Book of Mormon, and I prayed to know if it was true. And I can't even start to explain to you what a difference it has made in my life. I'm a Mormon because I spent many years investigating other churches and faiths. Although they were very good people, there was something missing. I found what I was looking for in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I have found the gospel of Jesus Christ in its fullness. I no longer have any doubts. I know this is the true church established on the earth for the last days.

How I live my faith

Service is a big part of the Mormon church. We are asked to serve callings. A calling is a responsibility in the church that we are not paid for. We are asked to use our time and talents to help build up the church. I have a love of charity and service. I love the way I feel after helping someone in need. The local charity that I run is set up to help people in need. If someone needs a house painted, or something fixed or moved in their house, I am willing to help out any way I can. I have a hard time saying no when someone asks for help. Now that I am retired, I have devoted the rest of my time to helping people around me and performing the duties of my calling.
