Hi I'm Karen

I'm a traveler, a sucker for good food, an English teacher and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in the Philippines and was raised in a Mormon family. My parents met the missionaries in Cebu City. I served as a full-time missionary in California Riverside Mission from 2009-2011. I love traveling. I have lived in different countries and finding an LDS Church wherever I go is amazing. It shows that the gospel is for everyone regardless of race or cultural background.

Why I am a Mormon

There is no happier way of life than that of being a member of the Church. Having the gospel in my life helped me understand my identity as a daughter of God and my potential to become like Him. I know that Heavenly Father loves me. His son Jesus Christ is my Savior.

How I live my faith

My faith is my life. I love studying the scriptures and gaining a better understanding of the doctrines of the gospel. I love Sundays. Going to church each week reminds me of the promises I've made with the Lord.

How can I know Mormonism is true?

Karen
I think it's very simple. The key is PRAYER. No one can know eternal truths without asking God. Even though I grew up as a member of the church, I still had to gain a personal testimony of its truthfulness. I read the Book of Mormon and asked God if it is true and He gave me an answer. I felt good inside and I was happy. That's how I know that its true. Show more Show less
