Hi I'm Jared

Im a Musician, a Kiwi and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Jared, im from New Zealand originally but im currently in Melbourne Australia. i am the youngest of 3 children and the only boy. i love to listen and play music.

Why I am a Mormon

I was baptised when i was eight years old into the church that my family all belong to. I spent alot of my life really just assuming that Jesus christ and all the storys that i learnt at church were true. In my teenage years i seperated myself alot from my family and from the church. i spent alot of time trying to be happy but finding it in all of the wrong places. it wasnt until a really good friend of my really questioned what i was doing and the decisions i was making and so i opened my mind. She challenged me to pray, something i hadnt done for a long time. that night i did and i truly felt the power of the spirit re-enter into my life. i continued to follow this feeling, knowing that wherever i found it, i was finding the lord. Eventually that search led me to be a missionary, where i have felt the spirit of the lord many times in his work. I know that this church is true and its teachings also because of the power of the holy ghost, a knwoledge i could never deny.

How I live my faith

I have learnt by experience that as i follow the council of church leaders and that found within the scriptures it can help me to find more direction and purpose. As a missionary, i have set aside two years of my life to as a full time service volunteer. I do not get paid for my time or receive any other personal rewards, other than the experences i am able to be a part of. I am a little over half way through my service and have never been happier.
