Hi I'm Marlene

I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a young mom of a 1year old baby boy. My husband and I are going on 3 years of marriage. I just recently graduated from college, majoring in Elementary Education. I love children, teaching, and anything that has to do with music and dancing. I'm currently not teaching right now so that I can stay at home with my baby, but there is definately not a dull moment.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that Jesus is the Christ, and our Heavenly Father is never changing. I am a convert to the church, and before I used to think that the stories I would here from the Bible were only possible for that time. Of course I always believed in miracles, God and Jesus Christ but I never really thought that it was possible for men to speak to Heavenly Father directly and receive modern day revelations. As I began to investigate more about the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, I began to see that things never changed. Heavenly Father still conducts his church as he did in ancient times. The church of Jesus Christ has been restored. I know that there is a prophet and apostles that live today and recieve modern day revelations.

How I live my faith

I live my life by trying to serve others, whenever possible. I do my best to serve and help my family and friends, by just trying to be there for all of them. I also do services in the church. Once a month I visit several sisters from the church with another sister companion. This has been a great way to ignite new friendships. When we go we always try to bring an inspirational thought. Those sister know that they can count on us whenever they are in need of something, whether it's a ride to an appointment or someone to just talk to, we are there. I have also taught sunday school class for young children and the young women youth group. I currently do not have a calling in the church right now but I still try to help out and participate in as much as I can.
