Hi I'm Jen

I'm a Stay-at-home Mom. I work part-time. I'm a reader. I'm a crocheter. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a 40 year old, stay-at-home mom of two. I work part-time as a salesperson for a wholesale clothing store. I love to read, crochet, and workout.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents joined the church when I was two years old. So, I've been a member of the church for pretty much my entire life. The principles of family, faith, why we are here, and where we are going that the church teaches has always made sense and brought great comfort to me. I became truly converted to the church when I was in college living on my own for the first time. I became keenly aware that Christ's atonement was for me. His atonement is not just for sinners, but sufferers, too. He healed my heart and soul during a very difficult time in my life when I felt I was all alone. I realized then, that I was never alone; and the gospel of Jesus Christ has taught me that my whole life. We are not alone. Jesus Christ and our Heavenly Father love us and are always there. This church and what it teaches centers around that very concept; and that is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

Being a member of the church is an integral part of my life. It's not just a Sunday only religion. I have had many jobs or callings in the church. I have helped with the Boy Scout troop sponsored by the church, lead the music and taught songs to the children, and I'm currently helping the young women in our church learn how to set and achieve goals. I also am in charge of the quarterly church newsletter and monthly women's book club. I work hard at the jobs I do for church and I thoroughly have enjoyed each job I've done. They have all helped me to be a better and more well-rounded person.
