Hi I'm Amey

I grew up as an Army brat all over the US. I have an awesome husband and three adorable children. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a stay at home mom of three who has a secret guilty pleasure of writing in the evenings when my kids are in bed. I'm working on my first novel for publication.

Why I am a Mormon

Though I grew up in the Church, there was one specific day I can say I came to know for myself that Christ is real, that he loves me, that his sacrifice for me is real. As for the gaining a knowledge of the Book of Mormon, that came gradually as I read everyday and applied the principles I read about. My testimony grew like how the grass grows. I didn't realise it from day to day, but over time there was some obvious growth. I've received so many answers to my prayers and have seen the Lord's hand in my life. I have felt his love. I remember one time, when I was seventeen, kneeling and asking if Joseph Smith truly was a prophet. I started reading a church magazine article on Joseph Smith and I had a rush of feeling, of love, of gratitude--tears stung my eyes, but it was the burning I felt in my heart that confirmed to me that this experience was an answer to my prayers. God works by those feelings to help us to know what is of Him.

How I live my faith

I teach a marriage and family course during Sunday School. I love talking about the eternal nature of families. God has the perfect plan for families to return and live with him. If we can strengthen our families, we strengthen ourselves and our communities.
