Hi I'm Dallin

I'm an Oregonian from Arizona, a missionary in Las Vegas, and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in California but I grew up in Arizona... All over Arizona. I then moved to Georgia and spent my time preparing to serve a mission. Further plot twists have brought my family and I to Oregon. I enjoy some individual sports, like snowboarding and kayaking, anything that will get me outdoors really, and especially disc golf. I spend a lot of my time inside playing the guitar. I love learning as much as I can about anything I can. I plan on attending college in the Western United States after preaching the gospel in the Nevada Las Vegas Mission. During college I hope to find a wife who I can keep close through this life and all eternity. I hope to pursue some sort of engineering after college and I hope the Lord will inspire me so that I might be able to bless the world through my work. But for now I keep working day to day on improving myself and helping others. I look forward to all that is to come in the adventure of life with optimism and am eagerly awaiting the day I get to meet my Savior, Jesus Christ.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints all of my life, but it has been my choice to stay. The blessings that come from living faithfully helps me navigate life how The Lord wants me to. Life is not easy and I know it is not meant to be, but I know that all things that happen to me are for my good and will help my progression in this life to grow more like the greatest archetype, Jesus the Christ. I gain my sense of purpose in service of The Lord and I know that He is the source of ALL joy. That is why I am Mormon and I love it.

How I live my faith

As I am in the time of my life when I am declared a "young single adult", and fresh out of high school, I feel like I am faced with difficult decisions every day, decisions that can change my life in so many ways. The way I go about my day is by doing the best I can to remember in whose name I was baptized. When I think of myself as a servant of Christ I change my actions to best reflect that calling. I know that my actions are an example of the disciples of Christ and that I should do as The Lord would want me to do. I feel guided to do these things by the Holy Spirit and pray to be lead in the will of The Lord every day. I hope to be the best servant I can be. My faith is what allows me to withstand the trials of my everyday life and I KNOW that all the inhabitants of Earth can all share in this light and receive help from the Lord, Jesus Christ.

To what do you attribute the growth of the Church?

Dallin
One of the reasons that I think the church grows so much is because it is true and helps people find the happiness God has in store for them. I sincerely believe that following Christ brings a great deal of happiness. What I say may seem silly if you have never experienced the joy of knowing Christ but it is what I believe to be true. This church grows because it shows people the paths of true and everlasting joy. Show more Show less
