Hi I'm Deborah Holm

I love to Jesus Christ. I love my family. I'm a mormon.

About Me

Marriage makes me happy. I love staying home with my three kids ages 17, 15, 13. I also have a son on a mission. I am learning to oil paint and I get to help out in my community. My husband takes me to visit the land of our ancestors because I love family history.

Why I am a Mormon

If this gospel were not true, I would live it anyway because the teachings of Jesus Christ bring me happiness and peace. Knowing the truth in a world of conflicting values and ideas simplifies my decisions. I rejoice in the restoration of Christ's gospel, the promises of a living prophet, and the hope of being reunited with my Father in Heaven.

How I live my faith

Living my faith means helping others, keeping commandments and following promptings from the Holy Ghost. I try to repent when I mess up and each day I try to be like the Savior. I love to attend the temple, which I call the Lord's university. Everyone, who is willing to commit, is admitted. When things get tough, I remember that my Heavenly Father knows and loves me perfectly. He will never let me experience anything that won't help me to progress. He loves my husband and children in the same way He loves me.

Why do Mormons believe in the Bible?

Deborah Holm
I believe in the Bible because it both the old and new testaments help me to understand the mission of Jesus Christ. I love the Bible for its beautiful language, comforting promises and revelations of truth. I know it is the word of God. I have seen many people inspired to do wonderful things by reading the Bible. How can faith in Jesus Christ influence us in our marriages and family relationships? in our friendships?

Deborah Holm
One of my favorite blessings of living the gospel of Jesus Christ, is my marriage. I have been progressively happier each day of the 18 years I have been married. I feel like Heavenly Father wants my marriage to succeed and that he helps me and my husband by answering our prayers and helping us love and forgive one another. I know that it is the atonement of Jesus Christ that has allowed Jim and I to grow closer to each other because we have prayed to love each other and we have prayed to be more loveable. My husband supports me in my hopes and work and I know he has been a part of my success. I trust him. I first learned to love and trust from my relationship with my Heavenly Father and now I can use the same skills to build my marriage. Show more Show less
