Hi I'm Jeremiah

I grew up in Oklahoma. I'm a husband, father, health information professional, writer, Success Coach, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I've been happily married for over 11 years. My wife and I have two boys; one is in second grade, the other is in preschool. I work in a hospital as a health information management professional (a.k.a Medical Records), almost nine years now. It's been a rewarding career path that very few people understand or even know about. In addition to keeping ultra busy at work, fulfilling my calling in the Church, nurturing my marriage, and helping raise our boys, I write inspirational short stories for young people and coach others on how to achieve their big dreams.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised by my father in Oklahoma. He wasn't religious. I was. At an early age I had the conviction to draw close to God so I made sure I got myself to church, a Baptist church, first by their bus ministry, then by foot. I only lived a few blocks away. While attending college I was introduced to the Restored Gospel of Jesus Christ by my then future wife, a Mormon all her life. I was taught by the sister missionaries and baptized in Alaska. I'm a Mormon because the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the only church on the face of the earth that has the Restored Gospel of Jesus Christ; the only church authorized to act in the Savior's name. All my life I've known I'm a child of God. It was only through being taught the Restored Gospel of Jesus Christ that I learned that my Father in Heaven is not an immaterial essence that fills the universe, rather he has a tangible body of flesh and bones, just like yours and mine, yet his body is perfected and glorified; that he sent me to earth to be tested and live by faith, to someday become like Him, all because of the Plan of Salvation; all because of my Savior and Redeemer, Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

Every morning I start early by drawing close to God through prayer, meditation, journaling, and scripture study. This helps me start my day off with God's love in my heart and the companionship of the Holy Ghost, my built in GPS system for making good choices. I live my faith by being a good example to those around me and by striving to deliver a great quality and quantity of service to whomever I can. In my church calling, I help members in sharing the Restored Gospel with their family and friends. As a family, we teach our boys the Gospel principles through weekly Family Home Evening and daily scripture devotionals.
