Hi I'm Sam

I have a great beard. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

If I could be a superhero, I would definitely pick spiderman. He's powers are just awesome, plus he's funny. Seriously though, I let spiders bite me... just in case... (Ok that's not true, but maybe it should be) I think my patronus would be some kind of fox. If I could have any pokemon in the world, I'm pretty sure I would pick a vulpix (dat 9 tails though...) I've debated for several years whether I would rather live in the world of Harry Potter or Pokemon... and I still haven't decided... Despite all of those horribly nerdy things I just said, I function perfectly well in society. I just like having fun I guess! I went skydiving one time, so that was cool. I also REALLY want to get more into paintballing in my life, I have a gun, I just need to make the investment. Also, I'm getting into a lot of live comedy stuff. Like improv and standup. It's awesome.

Why I am a Mormon

I guess its because I've had experiences with the church and its teachings that have left me believing that this really is where God would have me be. I can't say that I know everything, but I know enough to base my entire life around the teachings of the church. More than anything its because I've sought to know. I've invested the time and effort to really try and communicate with God and I've felt him responding. The Gospel of Jesus Christ taught in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the pattern that God wants me to base my life upon. I have NO DOUBT about that.

How I live my faith

I try to be a little bit better each day. I think I have the most success at that when I learn to look outside myself and worry about others. I'm not super good at it, but hey, I'm trying. I also try to keep my life in line with the life and teachings of Jesus Christ, mostly through attempted emulation.
