Hi I'm Loni.

About Me

I take great pleasure in finding the beauty in all people and things around me. My husband and I recently relocated to Arizona and, even though the climate and landscape are different than we are used to, it has its own unique beauty which I love. I work as a freelance graphic designer and also run an online crafting business. I love to play volleyball, and not to brag, but I am one awesome digger. At 5'3" I don't have many other advantages on the court, so I have to be! I love learning and am constantly trying to pick up new hobbies and skills. My recent pursuits include water color painting, sewing, and gardening.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a family that are Mormons, but I can remember a few very distinct experiences during my teenage years that I count as my own "conversion." The most important to me happened over the course of studying a document written in 2000 by the Apostles called The Living Christ.. As I carefully studied each line, sentence, and paragraph, I repeatedly received an overwhelming spiritual confirmation that Jesus Christ really did live on the earth, that He is the son of God. He did heal the sick and raise the dead. He did give his life to atone for the sins of mankind. He and His Father did appear to Joseph Smith and restore His true Church. It wasn't anything big or miraculous, but I knew, and I can't deny it.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by doing my best to following the teachings. I don't just go to church on Sunday, I make an effort to apply the things I learn there all week long. Doing so brings me joy. I also serve by working with the youth in my congregation.
