Hi I'm James

I'm a piano player, I love baseball and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am 21 years old, and i just completed a full time mission in the Texas-Fort Worth mission. I love baseball, the St. Louis Cardinals, playing the piano, and I plan to attend medical school after I complete my mission.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon, because I know that Joseph Smith saw the Father and His son, Jesus Christ in the sacred grove in the year 1820. I know that because of that event, Jesus Christ restored His church again on the Earth. He restored His priesthood, the saving ordnances that are found in His temples, and everything that existed in His ancient church. This church is true, I know with all my heart that it is true.

How I live my faith

I live my faith in small and simple ways. I live my faith by reading and listening to the word of God! I have fallen in love with reading the Book of Mormon, the New and Old Testament, and another book that Mormons read entitled the Doctrine and Covenants. We also have a prophet on the Earth that leads and guides us! He receives God's will, and then gives it in counsel to the Children of God I live my faith by each day striving to become more and more like the Savior. He is our pefect example.

How can I know Mormonism is true?

The easiest way to know if Mormonism is true, is to ask the direct source. Ask our Father in Heaven! If you ask with a sincere heart, desiring the true answer, God will answer you in a very personal way. If you have access to a Book of Mormon, read Moroni chapter 10 verses 4-7. It expresses perfectly, the process of asking God whether something is true or not.    Show more Show less

Why are only some Mormons allowed into temples? Is there something secret going on in Mormon Temples? What goes on in Mormon Temples?

I can only imagine what temples seem like to those outside of the church. We believe that the temple is literally the house of God! It is the one place on Earth we can enter into and make sacred covenants with God. Because the events that happen inside our temples are so sacred, we believe that they should not be spoken about outside of the temples. We also do work for our deceased ancestors, so they can enjoy the blessings of making those promises with God as well! We also believe that inside the temple, families can be sealed together forever! That means that families can be together forever! Only some Mormons are allowed inside the temple, because in order to make sacred promises with God, you would think that you should be worthy to make those promises right? You can't make a promise to God when you are not worthy! Show more Show less
