Hi I'm Machelle

I am from Arizona. I am a Wife, Mother, Sister, Aunt, a Registered Nurse, but most of all.....I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a Registered Nurse and work in a profession that I totally love. I am also a mother of 3 sons, and I inherited another son and a daughter. I currently have a son in the US Navy and I am so proud of him. I have had the opportunity to share journeys involving my son's military adventures. I enjoy all kinds of crafts, music, yard sales, gardening, spending time with friends and family. I have been told I have a spirit that people love to be around. I hope you think so. I also enjoy being involved with Medieval re-creation groups with my loving husband. My family is a very important part of my life.

Why I am a Mormon

Why I am a Mormon? I guess because I am a Child of God and he has sent me here to earth with a chosen plan for me. I was baptized a Mormon when I was 12 years old. I was adopted by a loving family when I was a teenager. I grew to have a strong testimony to the love of our Heavenly Father and the gospel. I enjoyed the Young Women's program and Seminary classes in High School. When I was a young adult, I had diverted from God's path in my life due to my own choices. That is one thing that God has given us....Free Will and the right to make our own choices with our lives. I thought I knew more than God did in regards to how to live my life and where my path should go. Through my own choices, trials and even joining a Baptist church, I thought I was doing what God wanted me to. I was wrong, I never really felt I belonged to any church or religion. I still felt the love and support of my family who have been there all along for me and my parents were quietly and patiently awaiting for me to return back to the church and home. I married a loving man who was also questioning about the church and through his journey to join the church and baptism, I regained the feelings, and testimony I had thought I lost, and returned to the church. I now know what I have been missing in my life, My Heavenly Father. Returning to church has been the greatest "choice" I have made and I am happier as a person, feel less stressed as I did before, I have a strong feeling that this is God's plan for me all along. He is a patient and loving God and will let us make our own mistakes, but will pick us up and hug us tight when we need Him the most. I love being a Mormon and I know it is true. I am so lucky to be with a loving Mormon family that I will be with forever.

How I live my faith

I currently am the one that you will see leading the music during our church meeting. I really enjoy my calling and get to assist with the organist, the hymns we sing in church. There is so much inspiration from the speakers at church, and the words in the hymns we sing. I always feel the Lord's spirit in our meetings. I also have a testimony of the Atonement of Jesus Christ and have a privilege to partake of the bread and water (we call it Sacrament) every Sunday and remember my baptism and the love that Jesus Christ has for us to die on the cross for our sins. I also enjoy helping in the women's program and visiting teaching to sisters in the church to help them grow and to learn as well in the gospel. I enjoy getting to know my fellow brothers and sisters in the church and assist them however I can. I have learned about bread making, canning, growing a garden. Things I hadn't remembered from my parents as a teenager. I am like a sponge when it comes to learning and wanting to know more about God's plan for me. I love reading the Book of Mormon and the other scriptures. I have a testimony of the truthfulness of the scriptures. There are so many ways to learn of God's word and how to be a Mormon.
