Hi I'm Chris

I love hiking I have a great family! I'm from Washington and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am an outdoor enthusiast anything goes. I am a college student on a short break. I always love trying new things, life is an adventure that never stops. I have 6 brothers and love them all. and I have a great mom and dad.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have studied the Book of Mormon and I have prayed about it and have learned for my self that the gospel has been restored by the Prophet Joseph Smith and the peace that I felt as I prayed is what makes me stay faithful to the gospel of Jesus Christ. I know the Book of Mormon is the word of God as is the Bible and abiding by the precepts in those will bring you closer to the Savior than any other way.

How I live my faith

I show my faith by inviting others to increase their faith in Christ. I spent 2 years biking around Arizona and sharing the gospel. I study the scriptures in order to learn more about our Savior Jesus Christ.

Why was a Restoration of the Gospel needed? Haven’t we always had the Bible?

Chris
The restoration of the gospel was necessary because when the savior was crucified the apostles tried to continue sharing the gospel with others but they were rejected and the priesthood authority was lost. After that authority was lost there were many churches that began to spring up and thus resulting in a lot of confusion with who God is and how to perform certain ordinances like baptism. So when Jesus Christ restored the gospel through Joseph Smith there were now answers to the confusion. I know that the gospel was restored through the prophet Joseph Smith and that the church of Jesus Christ in on the earth today. The Bible and the Book of Mormon support each other and give us a second witness of the Savior and His love for us. Show more Show less
