Hi I'm Robyn

I was raised in Canada, but raised my own family in Arizona. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in a family of seven children. Our summers were spent together, swimming, boating and working at our cabin. We loved our days of play together but every Saturday evening we would take the three hour trip home to prepare for our Sunday worship. Sunday was a day of learning about our Savior and doing things to honor him. I am now a mother of four and a grandmother of 11. My extended family has grown to 115. We have chosen to follow the example of our parents, building a good marriage, and family. Life has been full of play, work and sharing family time together. Sunday is still a day of learning about our Savior and doing things to honor him.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church and was taught to read and love the scriptures. As I grew and studied the Bible, and other scripture, I loved the truth it taught and the spirit I felt as I read. I have felt the Holy Ghost bear witness to me of the eternal truths taught in all of our scriptures. The Book of Mormon and Doctrine and Covenants add clarity to the principles taught in the Bible. Together they teach me who I am, where I came from and where I will go after this life.

How I live my faith

As a teenager I lived my faith by not smoking or swearing or having intimate relationships. Many of my friends would tease me about my life style, yet they all remained my friend. I had wonderful opportunities to participate in dance, music and sport activities. My favorite memory is when our youth group worked and earned enough money to buy Christmas presents for several Indian families. We fixed dinner for them, sang songs and played games with their little ones. It was a fun time when Santa showed up showering them with the presents we had bought and wrapped. Since that time I have had the opportunity to help other teenagers participate in similar activities. Today I work with children from 3 to 12. We teach them songs, and how to live like Jesus. We teach them to love and serve one another. We rejoice together as we know that we are all children of our Heavenly Father.
