Hi I'm Nola

I grew up in Mesa Az. I am a mom of 4 and foster mom of 1. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I work part time for a construction company running the office. I enjoy spending time with my children who are 20, 18, 17, 14 and my foster baby. When I have time I love to bake. I enjoy camping, especialy in the summer to get out of the heat.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been raised in the LDS church my entire life. When I was 17 I decided to read the Book of Mormon for the first time on my own. At the end of the book there is a challenge to ask God if what you are reading is true. I had always believed it was true because my Mother read it to us every day but I wanted to know that it was true for me. When I finished reading the book I prayed to God to know if it was true. I felt a calm peace come over me and comforting warmth in my chest along with the assurance in my heart and head that the book I was reading was true. I love the teachings of Jesus Christ and the knowledge that my family and I will live again with him together, as a family forever.

How I live my faith

Recently I was able to go to the church’s girl’s camp and serve as a leader helping with the programs and activities there. I enjoy teaching and serving the youth. I was also a primary teacher to the 11 year old children. I am grateful for the many opportunities to give and receive service. I enjoy working at the LDS Cannery canning food for distribution to those who are in need of it. I try to live each day as Jesus Christ taught us to, love one another. I try to find others each day to give service too. If I see a mother or woman walking in the Arizona heat I offer them a ride to where they are going. (I try to be safe in who I pick up) It has blessed my life to give these short little rides to my new friends and helped me to recognize Gods love for each of us.
