Hi I'm Patti.

I am a wife, mother, grandmother. I am an artist, seamstress, dancer, decorator, designer and lover of America. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in Rushville, Nebraska. I have lived in South Dakota; Evanston, Illinois; Washington D.C.; Arlington, Virginia; Phoenix and Gilbert, Arizona; Provo and Salt Lake City, Utah; Littleton, Aurora, and Denver, Colorado. Being a Grandmother is such a joy! I really like my family and love them too. I am a lucky woman to share my days and years with such a great husband. When I draw, I like to draw flowers from pictures and life. Sewing is fun because I get to make something useful or attractive from a flat piece of material. I like talking to children of all ages. They have such fresh and interesting comments. Lastly, I like fall with its cooling temperatures, crisp breezes, and colorful leaves.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (Mormon) since I asked to be baptized at the age of eight. The things I know, feel accomplished in doing, and like most have been in service to and living the commandments of Jesus Christ. I have felt the comfort, help, and guidance of our Heavenly Father and His son, Jesus Christ. I know they live and love us. Yes, I had to figure out for myself if the time it all takes is worth it. And, yes, yes it is! Because it is all true.

How I live my faith

My days go like this: 1.) Most every single day I read the scriptures for in them I have confirmation of truths. I find focus and direction. 2.) My husband and I pray together. I say my own prayers as the day progresses, when needed. 3.) I feel a genuine interest in others I know, my neighbors, even those unknown to me. I want to better their day and value them with a smile or kind word. I would like to leave this world a better place.

Do Mormons worship Joseph Smith?
