Hi I'm Isabell Krouse

."I grew up on a dairy farm outside the little town of Afton Wyoming USA. I taught school in Kansas. I'm a Mormon."

About Me

I'm a Mom of seven children. We have grandchildren and great grandchildren who most live away. We are semi-retired, we work a couple of hours a day at the museum and plaza. I enjoy gardening and seeing wild animals that live in the area. This is a second marriage for both of us and we really enjoy our retirement and just being together doing things we both enjoy. We mostly enjoy good health .

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in the church. I had three sisters and 2 brothers. I learned to work as a child milking cows and in the hayfield driving horses. My father had about two hundred sheep and twenty milk cows while we were growing up. We had electric milkers to help out at milking time. When we were about 10 we were expected to help out milking twice a day and handle horses during the haying season. I had a particularly hard time with the horses as I wasn't very big and harnessing my horse Bess was most difficult. I loved going to church and as a teenager being in the youth groups and I loved primary as a child. I loved going to Salt Lake for the church music festivals . My sister was able to be in the Dance Festival there. I can still remember singing with all those young people in the old Tabernacle. It did help me at that Time to want to continue going to church and learning more as I grew older. When I was a teenager I also had the opportunity to go to a church conference in the old tabernacle. I loved to see the prophet address us. This prophet had the habit of dressing in a white suit for conferences at that time. I loved it and could tell he was different from other men. I continued to learn about the church I was in and read the "Book of Mormon" and learned of it's truthfulness. I have really enjoyed being a member of this church . I know these things are true and God is my Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ died for my sins . I know the Holy Ghost can guide us and help us learn what we need to so we can return and live with Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ again.

How I live my faith

I attend church regularly and I work with music and lead the singing for the sisters. I also assist the Librarian in the Library and help make copies of material for lessons . I also help find pictures needed for the classes. Previously I played piano and organ for services and I worked with the young children teaching them for years. My husband and I work at the local museum and plaza cleaning for a couple hours a day. We enjoy being out in the public in our little town of about 500 people. We work at the local Arts and Crafts Fair every September. We have a lot of venders come and lots of people enjoy being here. We enjoy being among the people here.
