Hi I'm Sandy

I'm a wife, a teacher, a reader, a food lover, and a Mormon.

About Me

First and foremost, I am a wife to a wonderful husband. We've been married almost two years and are still so in love. I currently work as a middle school writing teacher who gets to teach elective classes, such as Drama and Design, as well. I love my job. There is something so fun (and funny) about the middle school years that not only makes my job super fun, but so rewarding as well. I am so grateful to work with students during these important developmental years. For fun, just give me good company, a kitchen, and a great book. I love to cook (and eat the things that I cook!) but I mostly love to share food with those I love. There is nothing better than good food, good talk, and lots of laughter and love! Any spare time I can get, you'll find me with a book. I just can't get enough of them!

Why I am a Mormon

The gospel of Jesus Christ makes me so happy! It is what keeps me motivated to grow and move forward and do better. It excites me to know that Heavenly Father knows me. ME. That he has a plan prepared so that I can become like him and return to live with Him someday with my family...forever! Through the atonement of Christ we can make it! We can not only be made clean and worthy, but we can have the strength and ability to accomplish anything the Lord needs us to accomplish and do the things He asks us to do. I am so grateful for the Gospel and the hope and happiness it brings into my life.

How I live my faith

My faith is in every aspect of my life. In the way I dress, the things I do and say, the things I watch and listen to, the way I think. The gospel of Jesus Christ is not a Sunday-only gospel and I try my hardest (and fail sometimes...but get back up and try again!) to make sure I'm living those things I know to be true. One of the ways I get to live my faith each day is by spending time with the Lord in gospel study. The more I learn of Him, the more I love Him, and the more I can be like Him. Currently, I have the opportunity to help lead the Relief Society (women's organization) in my ward (congregation). It is amazing to feel even a small portion of the love that our Heavenly Father feels for women. I love serving and learning from amazing daughters of God. Being able to have these women in my life is a great blessing.
