Hi I'm Makennah

I love dancing, drawing & playing the piano. I have four brothers & two sisters. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a very crazy girl! I love burnt pop-tarts, have a secret obsession with lettuce lately, I have splattered painted my furniture in my room, & I always try to have a smile on my face. I enjoy designing houses & hanging out with my bestest friends:) I am a daughter of God. I am a sophomore in High-school. I miss wakeboarding on the lake, my grandparents & when I was a child with no worries. I love ice-cream with a fork & scary movies with puppy chow. I know who I am & Im not afraid to stand up to my friends if means holding to my standards. My family is everything to me!

Why I am a Mormon

At first I just went to church & church activities because I believed it was just what I was supposed to do. But once I hit the age of 13 I truly understood for myself. I didn't go to church to see my friends or because its what my parents would've wanted. I did it because I believed. I still believe. I will always believe. Its hard to understand why a 13 year old would be able to enjoy a church-but I did. I have a testimony that this is the true church of God. It isn't my parents or my church leaders testimony. It's mine & only mine. I will agree that it is VERY hard to hold true to your standards as a teenager in this time. But others truly do appreciate you & see thats something is different about you. I love being a mormon.

How I live my faith

Since I'm only 15 years old, my calling is the 1st counselor in the Miamaid presidency. I try to help my best even though its not that difficult or busy of a calling. I live my faith daily at school. The other day I had about seven kids in my class trying to get me to cuss. I have decided before hand that I would never cuss & so this wasn't very difficult for me. I simply said no. At school I dress modestly. I read my scriptures every night & attend seminary in the mornings. I know Im not a perfect person, & I have made several mistakes in the past. But I know through the Atonement of Jesus Christ & partaking of the sacrament, I can be forgiven of my sins. This is soooo comforting to know-especially being a teenager!
