Hi I'm Tami

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to be! There is not a lot that I do not enjoy. My husband (the most amazing man in the world) and I have been married for over a year, and I am learning that I love to do things I never knew I would! Lately we have been working on our new home (which I dubbed as the "mouse house"...and no there were no cute little mice with high piched voiced that lived here) and creating a haven we could call our own. Next spring we are starting on the outside! I won't mind if there are mice out there. I grew up as a military kid, and with my family we trotted the globe! That brought me and my five brothers very close. I attended college at UNC and served a mission in Italy. I love to do new things and tinker with new hobbies.

Why I am a Mormon

I came from a very strong LDS family, and as I got a bit older, I realized that I was living off of my parents testimonies. When I turned 21 I was trying to make the "serve a mission" or "not to serve a mission" decision. I then realized that if I did not know The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints was true for myself, why was I living it, and why was I contemplating serving a mission. I decided then and there I would find out for myself if the church was true. I decided to take the promises given throughout my life at their word and begain reading the Book of Mormon in earnest. I read, studied and prayed for weeks...One night as I prayed, I let Heavenly Father know that I needed to make a decision about serving a mission as I kinda needed an answer...That night I read 2 Nephi 28 verse 32. In this chapter talks about foolish doctrines, apostasy, false teachers and "the devil shall rage in the hearts of men"...The chapter made me sad, but as I got to the end of it, it reads "I will be merciful unto them, saith the Lord God, if they will repent and come unto me; for mine arm is lenghtened out all the day long, saith the Lord God of Hosts". At that point, I knew 100% sure that my Father in Heaven loves me and is waiting for me to take his hand. He loves me and will keep waiting as long as I need him to. He will never give up on me. I knew that that message was too important not to share with my brothers and sisters. At that point, my testimony, not my parents, started to grow...I didn't have all the answers, but I knew how to get them. I knew the church was true.

How I live my faith

I live my faith day by day! Adam (the most amazing husband in the world) and I were called to teach the family history class at church! We LOVED that and learned so much about who we are and where we came from. We love attening the temple in Denver and do that as often as we can. We spend time with our family creating a bond with our neices and nephews.
