Hi I'm Trisni

I'm an Arizonan! I received my BA in Elementary Education. I am athletic. I am married with 3 children. I am a Mormon.

About Me

The most important thing about me is that I am a wife to a loving husband, who I have been married to for 9 years. I have three beautiful children! I love to spend time with my family dancing, swimming, teaching, playing, and encouraging them in their activities. I love socializing and getting to know people. The easiest way for me to do this is through sports and athletic events. I run frequently and play volleyball and basketball regularly. I recently helped organized a boot camp for girls 12-18. I love to work with teenagers. Some say it takes guts to work with them or teach them I don’t know, but I love it. I am currently going back into the workforce as a substitute teacher. I graduated with a BA in Elementary Education, but have not taught. I figure this would be a good way to slowly get back in there after taking a break and being a stay at home Mom. I am quite nervous yet excited at the same time.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints all my life. I truly became converted when I was 15 years old after finishing the Book of Mormon and praying for truth of what it entailed. I received a confirmation that it was indeed the word of God and should be read and studied with the Bible. The Gospel has brought so much joy and happiness to my life. I often wondered how I could be so lucky and so blessed to have it in my life and what I could do for others to help them know of the love of our Savior. I know that through the knowledge of the Atonement that I need to treat others how I would want to be treated and if possible (in my natural state) to love them how Christ would. I have a testimony of living prophets. If God had prophets in the Bible why wouldn’t he have them today? The world is changing and we need worthy, God fearing men who seek what to do and how to organize a church of God. I know that Joseph Smith was just a man, but he was also a prophet of God. Through the Lord he brought about the restoration of the Gospel to its fullness. I also know that through the Lord, Thomas S Monson, is able to lead and guide this ever growing church today. I know that the priesthood is here on the earth and have felt its power through blessings. Lastly, I know that the Savoir lives. He came to this earth in very humble circumstances and went about His Father’s business caring, loving, teaching, preaching, until the very end where He took upon him my sins and died so that I may one day live with Him again. I know that because He did this He loves me and that love can sustain me in whatever trials or fears I my have. His love is always there persuading me to try to be like Him through serving and loving others and although I will sometimes fail, He did not!

How I live my faith

I live my faith through serving others. I have done particular service in the church through the youth programs. I served 9 years with girls 12-18 teaching, mentoring, coaching, and loving them. I love teenagers. Some say you have to have guts to want to surround yourself with them, I don’t know, but I love them. I am always amazed at what teens do this day and age. I hope that I can only be of some help in guiding them in becoming our soon to be leaders. I am currently serving in the church by teaching 3-4 year olds. They are so adorable their love, honesty, energy, and excitement keep me young and joyful. I recently asked one of them a review question, Why was Joseph so special? To my shock the reply was “because he forgave his mean brothers” It goes to show they are never too young to learn and understand. I am beginning to understand why the Savior wants us to become like a little child and why He loves them so much.
