Hi I'm Jean

I am an actress, a ballroom dancer, a teacher, and a daughter. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was home schooled my entire life and graduated from high school early and am now a Junior in college. I am majoring in Theatre Education and I love learning not only more about theatre but also how best to share my love of it through teaching. I am slightly obsessed with the color orange and I love to perform. I am minoring in ballroom dancing and that's something else I could do all day if I was allowed to do so. I love the gospel more than anything. I am currently serving in the New Mexico Albuquerque mission and I am so happy to have this opportunity to share the gospel with others. I love that I can share the joy that the gospel of Jesus Christ brings me. Nothing makes me happier than living the gospel and feeling the spirit in my life. It is amazing what I can do with God on my side.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been going to the LDS church ever since I was born. On one side of the family the gospel reaches back to the restoration. On the other, my grandparents were the first members of the church. I am forever grateful that the members of my family who chose to listen to the missionaries joined the church. I would not be who I am today without their decision. Even though I was born into a family that was already LDS I never wanted to leave the church. I gained a testimony early in life and I never want to leave. The times I am happiest is when I am choosing to follow what I have been taught and what the Lord has commanded me to do. The gospel brings me joy beyond what theatre or ballroom can bring me. I know that through the gospel I can have lasting and eternal happiness.

How I live my faith

Before I came to the university I am at now I was at a community college in my home town. I made sure that all those I interacted with knew that I was a member of this church and the standards that I had. Many of my friends were welcoming to me and most of the time they were willing to refrain from swearing and inappropriate topics. I was happy there but where I am now is amazing. Many of my friends are members but it is still easy to do missionary work specifically by being an example. I try to do what is best at all times because I know that others are watching me and the choices I make. I still am friends with people from my community college and I try to share as much about the gospel as I can with them through Facebook and my blog. One of the best ways that we can live the faith is through being an example to others, whether members or not. Being on a mission has been one of the best ways to share the gospel with my non-member friends. They all know why I'm here and what I'm doing and many of them write to me and receive my e-mails so they see my testimony every week.
