Hi I'm Jason

I test electrical equipment, drive my Jeep where other vehicles can't go, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I currently live in Colorado but am originally from Utah. I am an electrical testing technician mostly working on substations. When I'm not working I like to do anything sports related or outdoors. My particular favorites are rock crawling in my Jeep, camping, and golf. I also like building computers and reading comic books. I have at least a slight interest in just about everything.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in the Mormon church. When I was serving a mission in Louisiana I worried that I had not been "converted" like most other people. After a lot of prayer I received a spiritual answer from Heavenly Father that was along the lines of "Why do you keep asking me about this? You already know the truth. You've always known." I have learned that different people come to learn the truth in different ways. It hasn't always been easy being a member of the Mormon church and holding yourself to a higher standard than what you see going on around you. Having the knowledge that it is true and this is where God wants me to be has helped me through the rough patches in life that everyone goes through. I must admit that it has been well worth any price I have paid. God has blessed me so much and I pray that everyone can be as equally blessed as I have been.

How I live my faith

I believe that everybody has a particular calling in life. One or two specific ways that they can make a difference in the world. They are either already good at their calling or will need to stretch and grow to become so. One way that I try to live my faith is to befriend everyone. For me this falls into the category of "stretch and grow." I sometimes find it difficult to work up the motivation to talk to somebody new when there are other things I would rather focus on but I try to remember that "the worth of souls is great in the sight of God." Everybody deserves a smile, a kind word, an acknowledgment that they are valuable and important. Nobody on this earth is perfect, including me. But my faith in the loving sacrifice of Jesus Christ for my sins and the sins of everybody who has ever lived helps me to try to become better and change my actions. If I mess up today then I can do better tomorrow, knowing that Jesus Christ gives every effort of mine value and meaning.
