Hi I'm Jennifer

I've lived in Utah, Texas & Arizona. I'm a wife & mother of 3 boys. I love chocolate, dogs & rainy days. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have lived in Arizona, USA for 16 years. I love rainy days which we have very few of in the desert. I am a full-time mom of 3 boys -- one is a musician, one is a football player, and one is a clown. They all make me smile and grateful to be a Mom. I love to cheer at the high school football games and laugh at my youngest son's jokes. I cried when I took my oldest son off to college ... it's hard to let go. I am also a part-time medical transcriptionist which I have done for 20 years from my home. I love anything chocolate, I love dogs, and I love playing games... I like them more when I win. I used to have a fear of the dentist and of flying in airplanes. I have conquered both fears and now love traveling (and usually the dentist).

Why I am a Mormon

I've been a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints my whole life. I was truly converted though when I was in college and read and studied the Book of Mormon with the real desire to know that the words of this sacred book were truly another testament of Jesus Christ. I learned for myself that what I had been taught my whole life about Jesus Christ and His restored gospel was true. My life has been blessed from keeping the commandments of God and following the example of Christ. I haven't been spared trials and challenges, but strengthened and carried through them by my Savior. I have been taught that I can do hard things, but only with His help. I know that God lives and loves all of His children. I know that there is a living Prophet on the earth today to lead and guide us under the direction of Jesus Christ. I know that our loving, righteous relationships here on earth can be eternal relationships. I am grateful for the blessings that the gospel of Jesus Christ brings to me and my family as we make our way through our journey here on earth.

How I live my faith

I live my faith daily, not just on Sunday. I pray daily to my Heavenly Father, both personally and with my family. I would never think about sending my sons onto the football field without pads and a helmet, so why would I ever send my children out into the world without the daily protection and guidance prayer provides them? We have a weekly family night where we spend time together learning about God and our Savior, playing games or doing service for others. We read the scriptures every night as a family before we go to bed. We try to relate what we learn from the scriptures to what is going on in our world today. I have had opportunities to work with the teenage girls and women in our church teaching them gospel lessons, planning and attending activities together, helping out with community service, and teaching them skills to become indepenent and self-reliant, as well as better wives and mothers. I currently work with the 8-year-old Cub Scouts each week helping them to learn to do their duty to God, their country and their community so they can be better family members and citizens. Everything I do is connected to my faith in some way. My faith has taught me the importance of loving others and helping them as Christ would.
