Hi I'm Jim

I'm a Mormon. I grew up on an Iowa farm. I am one of six children. Married fifty-two years, five sons.

About Me

I am a retired college professor. Concurently I served active duty in the U.S. Air Force then retired from the Air National Guard as a colonel chaplain. Mostly, I have been married 52 years, a father of five sons, with eleven grandchildren. I am a Mormon.

Why I am a Mormon

My father died when I was twenty-five which caused me to ponder deeply life after death. I began a five year search for answers to a simple question, "What happens after death?" My answer came following prayer and extensive research from every ligitimate source including the Bible. I now understand the complete plan of happyness including where I came from before earth life, my purpose in this life, and where my spirit will go upon death.

How I live my faith

I accept the tenets and doctrines of the restored Church to pray daily, live the 'word of wisdon" health proposal, attend church every Sunday, learning my duty first as a husband, then as a father and grandfather, then serving others. During the Iraq war my wife and I served army personnel at Fort Hood, Texas both in the preparation to deploy and in individual and family counseling unpon return.
