Hi I'm Judy Wilson

I grew up in Salt Lake City Utah. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My profession is Accounting specifically A/R and A/P. I am an avid reader. I love art and music. I love helping people. I love my church with all my heart. For the first time in my life I have friends. True friends.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church but then fell away for about 25 years. I lost both my parents within six months of each other and I realized how tenuous life is. So I wanted more for myself and church was the way for me to get it. You might say I went back kicking and screeming but it's the best decision I ever made. My daughter suffered from Reumatoid Arthritis since she was 14 and I was so sick of seeing the pain in her eyes. She asked for a blessing from the Priesthood and the Lord gave her healing. She no longer has Reumatoid Arthritis. Even her doctor was convinced. Also, I was a big sinner and the Lord forgave me of those sins. There are many reasons I am a Mormon but the biggest reason is I know without a doubt that this church is true. The only true church there is. Plus I can never repay the debt to the Lord for healing my daughter and taking me from the pit of dispair that I lived in.

How I live my faith

I read the gospel all the time specifically the Book of Mormon since it is the most true book ever written. I go to church ever week and partake of the Sacrament to renew my covenants with the Lord. I try my hardest to edify my callings. My current calling is Ward Employment Specialist. This gives me many opportunities to help others. I pray daily, sometimes all day long. I keep the word of wisdom to keep my temple (body) clean. My health is so much better now that I have quite drinking and smoking. I try to be a good example. Basically I try my hardest to do whatever the Lord wants me to do.

Do Mormons regard the Bible as Holy Scripture and the word of God?

Judy Wilson
Yes, we believe the Bible to be true as far as it is translated correctly. The words of God are held dear to us no matter what form they take. The Lord is not done with His work. So why not have more words from Him? The Bible is the record of the Jews and is the stick of Judah. The Book of Mormon is the record of the Nephites and other inhabitants of the new world or American Continent and is the stick of Joseph. Together they confirm each other and are a witness to Jesus Christ as the Savior of all mankind. Show more Show less
