Hi I'm Jose

I grew up in Dominican Republic. I moved to USA when I was 21 years old. I'm studying Electrical Engineering at ASU & I'm a Mormon

About Me

I am the last of six siblings born in the Dominican Republic. I moved to NY in 2004, where I met my wife in 2007. Now we have a new born baby. I work full time while I am attending to school to get my bachelor on Electrical Engineering.

Why I am a Mormon

I became a member of the LDS Church when I was 13 years old. I didn't understand many things but I had a determination to follow Christ. I moved places several times due to family issues that on my young experience made me to be afraid to find the church of Christ again. Finally, when I was 16 years old, my old friends invited me to church. I accepted the invitation with a resolution of strengthen my testimony. Three of both (my church friends) started to read certain parts on the book of mormon and we asked ourselves questions about what we were reading (What are they saying?, To whom are they speaking?, Why are they saying this? What do I get from this?, etc.); keep reading after our assigments were done with the same intensity until my strength became Christ. I keep reading this book together with the Holly Bible because it has made me become closer to God and his Son Jesus Christ. The Holy Ghost has testified to me that Christ is our personal Savior and that He lives today.

How I live my faith

I live my faith day by day. I has served different leadership positions in my community (at college as President of the Engineering Club; at previous employments as Head Host in a NYC restaurant; as a Sales Manager & a Mentor for students) and in all places I still a member of Christ's Church. I am a mormon regardless of where I am.
