Hi I'm Leonard King

I was born in Arizona before the start of W.W.2

About Me

I was born in 1941 in a adobe house with dirt floors on the desert north of Glendale Arizona. We took our Saturday night baths in a tub on the kitchen floor as it was the only room with a cement floor. What a great childhood my brothers and i had running around on the desert with our cut off pants [shorts]. My wife Mary and I now live in Jansen, Nebraska and have 2 daughters and 7 sons. I worked most of my life in the meat industry, but retired from a welding job about 8 years ago. Mary was a stay at home mom until our youngest started school, at which time she took a welding job that she has since retired from. I love to hunt and fish, and really miss camping with my kids but now I have grandkids and I am active in Boy Scouts to go camping with.

Why I am a Mormon

I believe the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints to be the only true Church on the face of the earth today. I believe that there are good people in all the faiths that I know people who are members. I know that the more I study the Bible and the Book of Mormon the more I know that the Mormon Church is the correct Church.

How I live my faith

My wife and I love going to Church on Sundays and being with friends and to learn more of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I strive to live the 10 commandments and to honor the covenants I have made. My life is centered around my Temple recommend and living my life so as to be worthy of the Blessings of a Temple recommend. Temple attendance is so important for myself and my wife, it makes living in the world so much easier, and life itself fulfilling.
