Hi I'm Maren

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a student attending college and I have yet to declare my major. I love learning and going to class and that is one of the reasons I cannot decide is because I want to do everything. I love trying new things and gaining different experiences. I love meeting new people and making new friends. I am the third child of seven and I love my family dearly and I am so grateful for their example. I love the fine arts such as opera, dance, as well as artwork. I love to sing my heart out and find that that is a way in which I express myself and emotions. I look forward to the experiences I will have, even though I don't know what they will be, and can't wait for what is in store for me.

Why I am a Mormon

I had the amazing experience of being exposed to more than one religion growing up. My Father is Catholic and my mother is LDS and so I was able to learn about both religions and eventually choose for myself. Growing up, the LDS church had something different about it, and that different feeling was what assured me that it was the true church on the Earth. The Spirit has had a profound effect on me and my life and through fasting and prayer I was able to learn that my Heavenly Father truly knows all of our hearts and He wants us to be happy and to be able to return to Him. I know the Book of Mormon is true, I learn from it every time I read and I know it was given to us to help guide us in our journey here on earth and I have felt the Spirit so strongly at times in my life and there is no way I can deny it. I know the church is true.

How I live my faith

I go to church regularly and I love reading my scriptures and learning from them and having spiritual experiences. I am preparing to serve a mission and I am excited to share the truthfulness of the Gospel with others and let them experience the thing that has made me extremely happy in my life and hopefully they will feel the same way.
