Hi I'm Tom

I'm a Mormon.I live in Colorado and I have a great wife and family.

About Me

My life has included many wonderful opportunities. I'm semi-retired from a career in education that lasted 27 years. I have worked in technical jobs and sales-management jobs for nearly 10 years and now I work as a driver in a local school district. My wife and I are empty nesters and we have 7 grand children and 7 grown children. My relaxation hobbies include golfing with a senior men's golf group and traveling with my wife to visit family and friends whenever we can.We also enjoy camping and traveling to various interesting tourist sites in the USA.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a convert to the Mormon church. My conversion took place in Ohio during a time in my life that was very difficult. I was a student at the time on the GI bill and had a wife and one year old daughter. We were having financial worries and our marriage was not doing well at the time. A good friend of mine that I had worked with for several years introduced us to the Mormon missionaries and we enjoyed the next six weeks of gospel centered lessons and attending church and Sunday school. The church members took us in like we were their own family and loved us into the church. I love the Lord and my testimony of his church grows even after 39 years as a member.

How I live my faith

I have served in the church as a specialist for those that are trying to find employment, additional education or trying to start a business. The church provides a free web-site for anyone needing help with any of those tasks. (www.ldsjobs.org) I also serve as a home teaching companion and we visit assigned families or individuals each month and fellowship with them on a regular basis. I pray with my wife every day and read the scriptures each day also. The gospel is my lifeline for each day and it provides me with opportunities to serve the community as I serve my Father in Heaven and his Son Jesus Christ. As I get older my service to others in and out of the Mormon church is what I enjoy the most. Love is the work of the Savior and we can all join in his labors.
