Hi I'm Scotty

I'm a band geek, and a nerd. I play D&D, I love computer programming, to be creative, and to make things. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm attending college, majoring in Software Engineering. I like to read, and enjoy making things. I enjoy playing Dungeons and Dragons with my friends, watching Sherlock, Star Trek, Star Wars, Lord of The Rings, and everything else geeky. I enjoy listening to music, and playing it too.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because of the guidance, peace, and comfort that comes from living the gospel and following the teachings of Christ. This gospel has helped me in my life so much, and lifted me up when I was struggling or down. I know God is our loving heavenly father, that his son Jesus Christ lives and atoned for my sins and has experienced all the hard times and grief and sorrow I go though and is able to help me. I know God knows me personally, is aware of my problems and needs, and loves me very much. I know this church is the restored from when Christ was on the earth. I know Joseph Smith restored the church and translated the Book of Mormon. I know the Book of Mormon to be the word of God, and can help me in my life. I know Thomas S. Monson is the prophet today, and his guidance and council (even though it can be hard sometimes or we don't understand why) will lead us to happiness and where we need to go. I know this church is true.

How I live my faith

I teach basic lessons to new members in my ward. I am also currently serving a mission.

What is faith?

Scotty
Faith is believing in something you feel is right, even though you can't see it. Once you have that belief, you also must act on it by following it and holding true to it. So when you have faith in God, you believe he is there, but you also listen to what he says and trust in him. Show more Show less
