Hi I'm Troy

Father of four; husband of one. I'm a computer engineer at Intel. I live, work, and play in sunny Arizona. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a regular guy who goes to work from 8 to 5 as a computer engineer. I have three daughters, a son and a loving wife. Tending to the needs of family and home occupy most of my time outside of work. Occasionally I find time for gardening or biking. I live, work and play in sunny southern Arizona.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up as a Mormon near Denver Colorado. My family owned a Mormon bookstore where I learned to help customers and where I was exposed to many good books. I had the great opportunity to attend Brigham Young University where I associated with many young adults with like beliefs. The students there know how to work hard and how to have good, wholesome fun. It was there that I took a class that required reading the Book of Mormon. The Book of Mormon taught me many things about Jesus Christ and how people should behave and live. Near the end of the class I prayed to ask God if the book was real; if its teachings are true. A profound warmth penetrated my soul. I knew it was true. As I continued to live according to the teachings of Jesus my testimony continued to grow and strengthen. I served as a missionary for two years in the southern part of Japan, where I shared my beliefs with many people who didn't know anything about Christ or Christians. I saw how the gospel can change people's lives for the better. There are many entertainments available in modern society - things that can excite or entice - but the gospel of Jesus Christ teaches me and reminds me where I should focus my time and my energy, and what I should do and how I should act in order to be truly happy.

How I live my faith

I try every day to be a good example of Christian values to my workmates and my family. Christ teaches us to love and care for one another. He teaches us to speak kindly, to be generous, and to be uncritical of others. Activity in the church provides great opportunities to help those in need and to practice Christian values of love and service.
