Hi I'm James Howell

I snow ski, play soccer, mountain bike, work as a group manager at Microsoft, have 4 wonderful children, and I'm a mormon.

About Me

I enjoy the outdoors and like spending time camping, mountain biking, and backpacking. With 4 children I don't get out as much as I used to, but it has been even more fun getting my boys into the outdoors. My wife says I'm a work aholic and working at one of the worlds largest software companies keeps me busy, but my favorite part of my day is coming home to the kids who are excited to see daddy.

Why I am a Mormon

After growing up in the church I came to a point in my life where I needed to chose for myself what I believed and what type of life I'd like to live. My wife and I feel free and happy as we follow what we know to be true. The gospel enhances my mariage, teaches me to be a good father, has taught me to be a leader in the worklplace, and has made me a better person. I would not give up the joy the church brings me for anything. It has made me who I am and I'm grateful to have it in my life.

How I live my faith

I'm not perfect, but I strive to live my faith as best as I can. This is a constantly improving effort on my part to do better than I did the day before. I spend rough 4 to 6 hours a months assisting other members in my community or church in service through activities such as helping people move, assisting in yard work, or other various activities. I work with the Youth of the church assisting in the teaching and helping the Youth organizations of the church. I love living my faith and feel it makes me a better person.
