Hi I'm Laura

I joined the Mormon church when I was 15 years old; It was the greatest day of my life.

About Me

I am married with 3 children. My son is 15 and my daughters are 13 and 11. Family means so much to me. When I was a child I did not live in a traditional family setting. My parents were not together any longer and we did not have a reliable father figure. My goal in life is to be a reliable parent to my children and make sure they have the knowledge that their parents are committed to loving them. We believe that Jesus Christ is the best example of a loving individual. He gave all he had for each of us. I strive to follow that same commitment when it comes to raising my children.

Why I am a Mormon

I new the Mormon church taught true principals the first time I heard my friend's testimony of Jesus Christ. I know the the Mormon church has a divine connection with God and Jesus Christ. As I have studied and researched the Holy Bible I have discovered that God has more in-store for us than we can even imagine. I learned that Jesus Christ rose from death on the third day. His conquering death signifies that we will all be given the opportunity to have life after death. I know that he loves all of the people on earth and the Book of Mormon another book we use as scripture with the Bible, is the proof. My life is much happier now that I am a member of the Mormon church.

How I live my faith

I focus on my family and helping them progress, now that I am a Latter Day Saint. I do not worry myself about the next time I can go out and party. I do not drink beer or wine. I keep away from stimulant saturated drinks like coffee, tea, Pepsi and Coke. I believe that heavenly father watches over us and expects us to respect the bodies he has given us. I teach my children to follow the Word of Wisdom and work hard to keep a healthy body. I believe a healthy body helps promote a healthy mind. We read the scriptures each day to help in our spiritual development too. I hope you can understand how my knowledge of Jesus Christ's divine mission helps me map out and live each day. I want to live as if he might visit my family each day. I know the Church is True and you can find that knowledge for your self the same way that I did.
