Hi I'm Susan

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mom with five daughters and one son. I still have two at home with three in college with one just graduating from BYU. I have been able to work at home by doing the books for our family business. It has been good that I have been able to raise my children and still work four or five hours a day but on my own time. I love the out of doors and being involved with community activities. I met my husband after traveling as second runner up to Miss USA when he was playing basketball with my younger brother in college. It was almost love at first sight but developed into love through letters after spending a semester in Israel writing to each other. I am preparing for the empty nest and looking forward to serving missions for the church.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in the LDS church. I was born with a believing spirit and have never doubted that there is a loving father who watches over his children here on earth. There have been low times in my life where I have reached out to my father in heaven through prayer and have been reassured of my testimony that he does live and love his children. I know that there is strength in being committed to attending church weekly as we associate with those who desire to learn and try to improve as I do. I love my Savior and try to do his will even though I know I fall short often. I am grateful for the knowledge that I can try over, over and over again.

How I live my faith

I have been a member of Prescott Fine Arts for twenty years and also a member of United Families for several years. These community organizations give me the opportunity to participate in helping our community help others and by helping to make Prescott an even better place to live. I have been over the young womens organization in our church for several years before I was called to be a missionary in our ward. I love whatever calling I am asked to do because I really feel that I have to push myself out of my comfort zone in trying to do the best that I can with the Lords help. I feel that peoples religious views are personal but I want for others to have the blessings that I do by having the gospel of Jesus Christ in their lives. This is why I am willing to extend and often be willing to open up to others even though it is not easy for me. I love my Heavenly Father and my Savior Jesus Christ with all of my heart. It is only through my Savior that I can return home again.
