Hi I'm Trysta

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a small town girl living in a big ol' city. Im a person of adventure and just loves to have fun. This world is so crazy and there is just so much to do and see. I love going on roadtrips and just seeing new places. I enjoy singing, dancing, hiking, hanging out with friends, laughing, and just living life to the fullest. I love challenging myself and trying to push myself to do better in everything I do.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in a family that was split religion and the feelings that I feel when I go to church on Sunday are more than I can describe. My pre-teen and teenage life was difficult because I grew up in a single parent home...we moved to Northern Idaho to be closer to more family for support and comfort. My aunt and uncle invited me to go to church with them, but I had chosen not to go go at the time because I was comfortable in my previous lifestyle. My uncle took me out one day to Spkane, Wa where the Prophet Gordon B. Hinckley was speaking and the Mormon Tabernacle Choir was singing. I remember the feelings that I had was love, comfort, and peace. I knew at that moment that despite our trials that we were going to be alright...that night I kneeled down in prayer and I thanked my Heavenly Father for the love that my uncle had for me, and for the love of my Heavenly Father. For once in my life I felt the light in my heart, the pain of loneliness subsided. I went to church that following Sunday and I've been going ever since. I know that the gospel is true... I know of the love and the peace that comes from attending church meetings and making room for the the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ in our hearts. He lives and he knows each and every one of us individually. He hears our prayers and I know that he is there for us in our darkest hours. I know that Joseph Smith was a Prophet and that we have a true living prophet, Thomas S. Monson, on the earth today. I know that we will have the opportunity to return to our Heavenly Father again someday as we strive to live the principles of the true gospel upon the earth. I know that by small and simple things, great things come to pass. My testimony is simple, but it grows each and everyday. We are never alone, all we have to do is open our hearts, pray, and sincerely ask for the things we truly desire in our hearts.

How I live my faith

I live the gospel through different means everyday. I have had the opportunity to have various callings in the church. I have had the opportunity to work with new members of the church to learn about the teachings of the gospel, which involved discussing principles of the gospel and applying it to our everyday lives. One of my favorite callings was working with youth and helping them learn and grow in the gopel through lessons and songs. I also live the gospel by being an example to friends, family, and people around me. I do the best that I can to be available to help those who are needing help; whether it is just saying "hello" or lending a hand to someon who needs help. I also love being there for people, making sure that they know that I am there for them if they just need someone to talk to. I love helping people and seeing the small everyday miracles that come to pass in people's lives and in my own life as I love the gospel.
