Hi I'm Rick

I'm a convert, a husband, father, grandfather, pharmacist, and retired Army officer. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a husband and father of four children. My family and I were blessed to served 30 years with the U.S. Army in the United States and in Europe. We made our home wherever the Lord needed our service, and learned to love the people and cultures of the world. We recognize how much we have been carried through the challenges of life by the support of others and by the blessings of our Father in Heaven.

Why I am a Mormon

Throughout my life I always had a firm belief in Heavenly Father and in His Son, Jesus Christ. As an active Methodist youth, I even thought about serving as a minister. Although I had numerous friends who were members of Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, I didn't become interested in the Church until a new friend reached out to me as I graduated from high school. In college I invested a great amount of time studying the Gospel, learning about the Church, and reading the Book of Mormon. As I read and studied the Book of Mormon, I received strong impressions that this work was from God. I wore out several sets of missionaries with my questions about the Church before receiving my own witness of the of the Book of Mormon as the word of God and of the calling of Joseph Smith as a Prophet of God. I was baptized after receiving my own witness through the Holy Ghost that Christ is my Savior and that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the Lord's true Church restored upon the earth today. The Holy Ghost continues to confirm this testimony daily as I see the evidences of God's hand in my life.

How I live my faith

I live my faith daily through serving others, both in and outside the Church. This includes my family, members of the Church, neighbors, patients, co-workers and friends. I strive to keep the commandments of God, and to be a good example to others that I come into contact with during my daily life. I enjoy attending my Church meetings and regularly serving in the Temple. I seek guidance from the Lord through prayer and studying the scriptures.
