Hi I'm Shannon

I'm a wife and a mother. I'm a convert. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a wife. I have 4 children, 2 girls and 2 boys. I love to read all sorts of books. I love to play sports and watch my kids play sports. I've lived in Arizona most of my life, I love it. I won't lie, I get tired of the heat in the summer, but love the winters more. I'm a convert.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up believing in God but not really practicing any kind of religion. When I was 17, my closest friend and I were talking about growing up and what we wanted our weddings to be like. She explained to me that she was going to marry in the Temple and that it would be for time and all eternity. Family has always meant a lot to me. I wanted to be with my family for eternity. I choose to talk with the missionaries so that I could learn more about the church. I knew what I was learning to be true. I studied the scriptures, prayed and made the decision to be baptized. I know the Book of Mormon is true. I know having the gospel in my life brings me happiness. I'm forever grateful to my friend and others for their examples.

How I live my faith

I try to be an example to my family and friends. I love to serve others. My calling in our ward is to work with the 10yr old girls on their Faith in God books. We meet two times a month and I enjoy working with them, as much as I teach them, I feel that they teach me more.
