Hi I'm Dan

I'm a father of four wonderful daughters. I enjoy being with my family and living in the woods in the Northwest. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have been a real estate broker for the past twenty-six years. I enjoy helping people find and pursue their version of the American dream. I love my family and I have a wonderful wife of twenty-nine years. We have always been a team and have the same goal of returning with our family to our Heavenly Father. I love hiking, enjoying the great outdoors, gardening, and when possible flying as a private pilot. I enjoy being with my family. We love celebrating holidays together by cooking lots of food and goodies. We have a tradition we call "goodie night" which is making a favorite dessert and popcorn to enjoy while we watch a movie together.

Why I am a Mormon

The gospel of Jesus Christ as practiced by the Mormon church is a great blessing in my life. I was not born into the church but found it in my early twenties. The church's doctrine answered these questions for me: Where I came from, why I'm here, and where I am going. The gospel is a true treasure map to eternity. The Book of Mormon answered many questions for me. It is truly Christ’s dealings with the people in the Americas and has a wonderful spirit. Knowing our Heavenly Father loves us all, just like His children in Biblical times, and has restored the gospel in all its glory and blessings complete with prophets, apostles, temples, eternal marriage and families, and the priesthood with Jesus Christ at the head of the church, is such an important and wonderful blessing for me. It is an anchor in my life.

How I live my faith

Service to mankind is one of the greatest gifts I can give. I strive to be less selfish and more open, loving and giving to everyone. Often it's difficult for me to love some people. But to become more like Jesus Christ is my goal. Whether it's an encouraging word or helping a friend, neighbor, or stranger in need, it gives me joy to serve. Jesus Christ gave the ultimate service to all mankind by atoning for ALL of our mistakes, sins, pain and disappointments. Throughout life if I can become better at easing someone’s burden here or lifting or helping a little there through service in the church, community, and my family I will consider life a success. Serving and attending in the church and the temple with my sweetheart are two of the most important ways for me to become more Christ like. Helping and watching our adult children and grandchildren grow in the faith, and knowing that if we remain true and endure to the end we will all be together forever someday, gives me great comfort and joy. This journey home to our Heavenly Father is filled with great joy and happiness as well as great difficulties and sorrow. We will all make mistakes along the way. But with Jesus Christ as our example and His infinite atonement, and our access to it through His gospel, I know we will be able to succeed.
