Hi I'm Jessica B.

I grew up in Layton Utah and live in the Seattle area. I love traveling & being a mom. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am mom with three little boys ages 4,2, and 3 months. I married the funniest man alive and love hanging out with my family. I live in Snohomish, WA about 20 miles from Seattle. I love people. I love learning about them and their cultures. Documentaries are my favorite thing to watch and I secretly want to be Lisa Ling from the National Geographic channel. I love the sun and music. I am always up for visiting new places. I grew in the military and landed in Layton, Utah. I enjoyed growing up in Utah and went to Brigham Young University where I majored in Social Work and minored in Anthropology and Gerontology. A good mullet makes me happy and I love looking at craft and recipe blogs though I never quite find the time to do any of the things I learn from reading them!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in true. I have a testimony that the precepts and principles of the Gospel are true because when I follow them I am truly happy. My family were converts to the Church when I was five. When I was 12 my father died and the rest of my family became inactive. I decided to continue to go to Church and over the years I can see the blessings that have come into my life because I stayed close to the Church, thus to Heavenly Father and my Savior's love. I believe that without the Church in my life, my choices may have lead me down different, more unknown paths. With the Gospel and the pure truth and knowledge it contains, I have been blessed by the Lord with assurance of my purpose here on Earth and have been lead to make choices that have brought such joy and peace in my life; like going to the Temple to be married and having children. I am a Mormon because I know that truth doesn't lie and when I choose to obey a commandment given by Heavenly Father, I can receive the witness for myself if what I am choosing to do is true or not. The Holy Ghost then helps me to know and see the consequences of my choice and confirms that the principles of the Gospel are true. Knowing that I am doing the right things and am a loved daughter of Heavenly Parents brings me eternal peace and happiness.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by going to Church and trying to put into practice the Christ-like principles I am learning. I currently work 8 and 9 year old girls. I have had many opportunities to serve in various callings and have been blessed with great examples of others who live their faith by always choosing what is right and fufilling their Church assignments with love and relentless dedication.
