Hi I'm Sam

I'm a husband, father, student, avid sports fan and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am married to my high school sweetheart and we have one beautiful baby boy. Currently I am in graduate school and studying accounting. I enjoy being active everyday and try to stay physically fit. I absolutely love sports...all sports. I played lacrosse in college and love to watch/play football, basketball and any other sport. Although I am a student and enjoy learning new things, I am excited to move on and begin working full time. Other hobbies of mine include reading books and running with my wife.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I choose to be. I know that there is a Supreme creator. He is my Heavenly Father and I know that I am a part of his plan. As His son, I know that I must actively demonstrate my faith and live in a way that would make Him happy. Jesus Christ, the Son of our Heavenly Father, came to this world, took upon him our sins and prepared a way so that we can be forgiven of our wrong-doings and return again to live with our Father. I believe this with all of my heart and I know that through faith in Jesus Christ, we can be cleansed of our sins and live together with our families forever. This knowledge is cultivated and grows when I practice this religion. I'm a Mormon because I believe that our Heavenly Father speaks through a prophet today and this mortal man leads and guides the church of Jesus Christ. This knowledge brings me great peace; but it also brings with it a responsibility to practice my religion and help others find their way back to our Father in heaven.

How I live my faith

I believe that it is important to have priorities in life. My top two priorities are my church and my family. I do my best not to let school, work or any other activity impair my commitment to these priorities. I attend church once a week (every Sunday) and also participate in activities that the church may sponsor throughout the week (social events, community service, etc.). Church really helps me stay on track throughout the week. With so many worldly temptations and distractions, I find church to be a very peaceful and calm place. My home also brings me this comfort because my family and I try to make our home a place of peace.
