Hi I'm David

I live near the ocean. I built a dingy with a sail. I am happily married. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a retired city fire fighter. I like building things and helping people. I built a 11' dingy last winter that I like to take out on the ocean. I enjoy gardening and growing food to eat. I especially enjoy my family and playing with my grandchildren.

Why I am a Mormon

I was already a husband and a father when I joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (Mormon). Originally I was particularly impressed with the emphasis on supporting families and following the commandments. As I have attended Church and studied the Scriptures I have gained a greater understanding of Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Ghost. They have played a great part in my life. Being a Mormon makes me happy!

How I live my faith

I live my faith by doing my very best to live the Commandments and asking the question, what would Jesus do in this situation? I am currently helping out at the Bishop's Storehouse providing food and basic necessities to people in need. I enjoy participating in a wide range of Church activities from Sunday services to evening youth activities to special service projects such as helping a member replace the roof on his house. I know that true happiness comes from following the teachings of Jesus Christ.
