Hi I'm Keaton

I grew up in Utah, I'm serving a mission in Washington, I like to play disc golf, go snowboarding. I'm a gamer. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I like to hang out with my friends, play disc golf, go snowboarding or play video games.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church but wasn't very active for the most part. I didn't see the need to be closer to the church until I saw the difference between a family with the Gospel versus a family without the Gospel. I felt the love of the family of one of my closest friends, they all loved eachother and were really close knit. Whenever I entered their home I just felt something different that I had never felt before and I liked it. Now I recognize that as the Spirit and its something I decided I want to have in my home when I have kids. I knew i want my kids to have better than what I had so I knew that being more active in the church and developing my own relationship with God would help me stay on the right path. But, everyone makes mistakes in their lives and so I fell away a little bit. I stopped going to church and doubted that God really cared about me. In His own time he humbled me and reminded me that He is always there, sometimes we just don't listen. I was back on track but progressing slowly, until one day I got a strong feeling that I was to serve a mission. I felt that if I didn't I: wouldn't stay active in the church, I would never gain enough faith to keep the standards of the church, I wouldn't receive the blessings of the gospel and most importantly I wouldn't be worthy to be married in the temple someday. If I couldn't get married in the temple, then I wouldn't have the marraige that I want and I wouldn't be able to give my kids better than what I had. Basically, all the big things that I want in life would be given to me if I served my Father in Heaven faithfully for two years. I'm currently serving in the Washington Tacoma Mission and I have seen more blessing in my family from me serving a mission than I could have ever imagined. I'm a Mormon because I have seen the way that living this Gospel, the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and by keeping His commandments can bless families (Mosiah 2:41).

How I live my faith

I'm serving a mission in Washington. I share the Gospel, or the 'good news' with everyone I can. I'm a strong beleiver in trying to be an example to others, because without the example of my close friend i wouldn't have given the Gospel a second chance in my life.
