Hi I'm Lorraine!

I am a stay at home mom of 4 children. I love to sew. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to read so much that I am part of 2 book clubs. I also love to sew for my children, and make crafts. I have 3 girls and 1 boy. I also love genealogy. My mother immigrated from Italy when she was a teenager, and the First Constitution of the State was organized in my dads ancestors home. When I was 17 I joined the church.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was younger we went to many different churches, most of them christian based. When I was 16 and started dating my husband, I asked him to take me to his church as I was still trying to find the right church. He hestitated but finally brought me to church with him. Everything that I learned that day felt so natural, and I have never felt like that before about a church. I knew that day that I was going to be a member of that church. My family was not happy about my conversion, but I was baptised a few months before my 18th birthday. Just after a year later I was married in the temple to the man who had taken me to church that first day.

How I live my faith

I have always taught children in the church. I feel this is my way of making up for all I missed not growing up the the church. I gives me the opportunity to now teach my children the things I have learned such as the hymns and basic principles. I also have worked with other sisters to take care of new moms, sisters who need love, and the sick in the ward. It has given me the strength to reach out and help people who I might not have known, and also humbled me to be able to ask for help when I need it.

What are Mormon church services like? Are visitors allowed at church meetings? Can I attend church?

Lorraine!
Anyone is welcome to come to our church meetings. There is a section that is for the whole family together where we hear speakers and sing hymns. Then we separate for age appropriate lessons. Show more Show less
