Hi I'm Linda

Born in England to protestant, American parents, I stepped away from my nursing profession to raise 4 children. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a U.S. Air Force 'brat' born to travel, journal, and love family. I married a classic car enthusiast. He loves the cars and I love the owners unique stories. I stepped out of my nursing profession to raise and nuture 4 children. I love my 'new' job of being Grandma Linda to 13 delightfully active grandchildren and one on the way. I cook, kayak, art journal, read, garden, and document family history. I love my daily walks rain, snow, or shine. My church service allows me to enjoy a balanced life.

Why I am a Mormon

I often had a friend that was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and I would occasionally attend activities. My parents took our family each Easter Sunday to the Air Force Protestant service. My Mom gave me a New Testament as a teenager and I loved reading about Jesus Christ's ministry. I eventually began attending Protestant and Catholic churches to find answers to my questions: marriage for time and eternity not just 'until death do you part'; Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ as the Father and the Son; and answers to why was I here on earth. When I went to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, my questions were answered and the puzzle pieces fit together. I joined the church at the age of 19.

How I live my faith

We are all daughters and sons of our Heavenly Father. He and our Savior, Jesus Christ show us how to live and how to love others as They love us. I am learning to serve with compassion and empathy. I instruct and support the leaders of the children in 8 church units and provide encouragement and training. Throughout the years, I have been trained to be a teacher and I enjoy each opportunity. I am a gardener for a community garden with a future potential to provide fresh food to local soup kitchens.
