Hi I'm Debbie

I was born in Thailand and raised in the USA. I'm an ordinary Mama who has been given extraordinary opportunities. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I enjoy a good joke, a competive game of...well, anything. I love it when my kids mess up common sayings or make up words they are unfamiliar with. I think I have the cutest kids ever. I have the best family! I get tired of the mundane, but try to keep a sense of humor through it. I find politics interesting. I get great satisfaction from selling homes for a living. However, I don't like sweating profusely showing said homes in August. I look forward to our family vacation to Lake Powell every year. Finally, I am totally in love with my witty, hardworking, worst-mafia-game-playing husband of nine years.

Why I am a Mormon

Lake Powell Utah is one of my favorite family vacations. The unique landscape, beautiful scenery and water sports, make for a perfect family getaway. I love boating, wakeboarding, laying out, and sleeping under the stars amongst my favorite people. However, once in a while, a sudden storm can move in bringing high winds and choppy water. During these storms the boat could be easily tossed to and fro. The anchors on the boat manage to keep the boats and passengers safe from harm. These anchors are rigged, angled and hoisted solidly into the ground and rocks around us. They prevent the houseboat from slamming into the surrounding shore, rocks and sometimes even massive canyon walls. Likewise, the Gospel of Jesus Christ provides anyone who accepts it the opportunity to have peace, security, and comfort in the face of the sudden storms of life. Faith in His Gospel has given me the opportunity to weather storms of uncertainty, loss and disappointment. I am so grateful for my membership in this Church and for a firm knowedge of His love for me.

How I live my faith

I love the opportunity I have to engage with our Youth on a weekly basis. I get to experience their fearlessness while trying to inhale their youthful excitement for life. My life would be so much more ordinary if I didn't have a weekly adventure to look forward to. And every once in a while, I hope I am able to impart a little bit of knowlege and pass along reminders that they are extraordinary!
